Continuing Education for Yoga Teachers

For teachers who have at least 200-hour Training
per Yoga Alliance Specifications

Yoga Teachers Training Institute is offering workshops that can be applied either towards
500-hour certification or towards continuing education or just for further study.
Only students who qualify for at least their 200-hour certification may participate.

The workshops are designed to meet the requirements set forth by the Yoga Alliance.
Because of the wonderful response to the workshops most of them will be held in Queens at the Yogashakti Yoga Center near JFK - 114-41 Lefferts Blvd. 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
These workshops are for serious students and many of them require books and props
which will be an additional expense to the $75 workshop fee. If you can not pay in advance, the fee at the door, space permitting, will be $90.
Participants will receive a certificate of attendance with the designated credits
upon completion of the workshop.

Bandhas and Pranayam
Pre-Natal

Saturday February 20, 2010
9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Queens

We will spend the morning with intense practice of Bandhas and Pranayam with Mokshapriya.

In the afternoon Michelle and Janine will share with you their extensive knowledge of pre-natal yoga.
Pregnancy is a beautiful time for every woman and yoga is a wonderful way to stay fit, as well as connect with one's body, mind, spirit and a new baby. In this workshop, we will explore the importance of breath, strength, balance and relaxation throughout all three trimesters for the prenatal student. In addition, you'll learn how to adapt Asanas and which to eliminate.
Michelle Kennedy earned her teacher certification at YTTI while pregnant with her daughter. She specializes in prenatal and mommy/baby yoga and has studied with YTTI, Dharma Mittra, and Jyothi Larson, author of Yoga Mom, Buddha Baby,

Janine is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science. Janine's love of yoga and yogic philosophy began in 2001. Her life long passion of working with the body, mind, and spirit in healing, was fueled by her introduction to the asanas. In addition to her RYT, she obtained advanced training in prenatal yoga and restorative yoga. 

Please bring a pillow and 2 straps or belts.

Our Trip to India

We will have just returned from India and will share with you what we have learned.
All of you who wanted to come and could not please attend for vital information.

Marianne, Mokshapriya and others will participate in this workshop which will include all yoga aspects.
