The Students of the
Yoga Teachers Training Institute

In Long Island and Queens

My favorite part was the philosophy part of the course.  It has been the ‘missing link’ that I have been looking for to reconcile my catholic upbringing with yoga philosophy.  The Asana training has challenged my preconceptions of what I thought of what my limitations were and what my new limitations are now…The bar has been raised substantially.  Rosalie

I think that the reason that this course is so powerful on so many levels has to do with all of the energies working together.  Not only the energies of the teachers, but that of the students as well.  Each person brings their own unique life experiences to the table and we all absorb each others knowledge. Kat

The end of the course is uncomfortably close. I don't think any of us is ready to end it. For me it feels like it was just the beginning or immersion into a beautiful knowledge that is changing my life in a positive way. Adina

Yoga has changed my life both physically and emotionally. What i like about yoga is that it improves my flexibility, strength and stamina. It also improved my concentration. Pauline

Not only I learned postures, breathing, meditation but I also realized the importance of discipline and perseverance, that I intend to teach my future students. You showed me how a strong mind leads to results and success. Bianna

The "lady in orange “is for sure the one who I will remember the most. The one whose charisma and  "tough” ways of correcting the asanas were balanced with the warm hugs and spicy teas at the end of the classes. She is definitively the one who knows how to  harmonize the mind and the heart-the Hard and the Soft. Omid

And Chapter One Sutra 14 was so easy to remember.  “Practice for a long time, unbroken, with love, attention or honor, and truthful service, then we will have a firm ground (of what we are learning to trying to achieve).”  This speaks to me and gives me hope for learning so much more about myself, and the 8 Limbs of Yoga.  Chris

I finally understand what you meant by my yoga becoming “organic” within me. With each and every practice I feel I have better communication with my mind, body and soul. My practice is completely different then what is was before I embarked on this journey and I have YTTI to thank for that. Lauren

The environment was a very welcoming place, full of energy. A loving and caring atmosphere, where everyone helped each other, a place where I personally adopted lifetime morals.
This great environment was an asset towards the 200 hours course. Gyan

I had learned so much more than I was aware I could learn, such as how to get into a pose, how to exit a pose and the importance of alignment, which was something I was not fully aware of.  Danette

The attention given to each student was more than I ever expected from the teachers.
The facility:  Warm and inviting, large enough for everyone and small enough to be intimate. Kathleen

So, furthermore, and perhaps most importantly, this course has taught me mindfulness and gratitude. I try to thank my body and my self every day now, because as lucky as I am, I’ll only be as lucky as I believe I am. Jackie

The best part of this course is having the 500 hr students around.  I've learned so much from them and their real life experiences.  Julie

If I never get the chance to teach the physical postures we've learned in class, I'd still be more than satisfied with this accomplishment, being that I no longer feel the need to "teach", rather I have the ability to "share" my experiences by living in a particular manner and being an example of how yoga can really change one's life. Josh

Roxanna is a loving and great teacher. I was so inspired by the way she interacts with her students. I felt at first I couldn't do this, maybe teaching yoga wasn't what I really wanted, I just wanted to do yoga. Spending Mondays with Roxanna has changed that. Even with difficult students, she's patient. Just being around her makes me feel happy to be able to teach. Shews
